Today our school had to share our positive learning story.

I found challenging making the video,

I found easy sharing it with the Year 1 and 0s.

Dear Grinch

 Dear Grinch,

I really would love to help you change your feelings about Christmas.

I think you would love it down in who-vile with us. So I would like you to take a step and try something new, "come join us with singing, dinner and Christmas.

On Thursday our class wrote a note to the Grinch about Christmas

we all so drew a picture of the Grinch drawing the Grinch I found challenging but when I coloured and I thought that was easier.

 On Tuesday we did a diamanta poem with Mrs Kirki it was really fun but I kept on making little mistakes.

On Tuesday we did a diamante poem about anything we wanted. I chose a puppy and a kitten, it was really fun but also a bit difficult deciding what words I was going to use but I figured it out.

A cat coat

 This was supposed to be a scarf but my brother pulled the wool and I dropped a stitch so I had to stop. Then I thought of making a cat coat so I tried it on my cat and she loved it and that is how I ended up with a cat coat.

Knitting a scarf

 

This is a little bit of my scarf that I have knitted in lockdown. It is my first time trying to knit. I actually did quite well considering it was my first time. my nanny and I were bored so we thought I could knit so we tried and that is how I learnt to knit.

Bird house

 

This is my Bird house I made in lockdown. My nanny brought wood, a saw, and a few nails so we thought we could make a bird house. So we asked if our nanny could help us make one she said yes so we all worked together and we made our own bird houses and we pretty much did it ourselves my brother and sister also made one.

Our class had to do a freeze frame on how a bean grows we had to do the stages of a bean. Me Ananya, Manaia and Felix worked together very well and koka Maddy liked what we came up with we tried our best and we did well. It was a bit funny and we got embarrassed but we thought it was funny

Our class made posters about pies and we are going to put them in Callums shop to Brighton his shop wall up a bit he is going to put these pie in his shop chicken bacon and pasta pie, cheeseburger pie, apple crumble and custard pie, fruit pie, crispy bacon and egg pie and venison pie, he mite make some of those pies to sell at his shop for pie of the week. My pie is a fruit pie made with Raspberry, Blueberry, Apple, Mint, Tarragon, Rosemary, parsley and cinnamon. I don't think My pie will be the best but I still think it will taste good I mite make my pie at home and let my mum, dad, brother and sister have a little bit. 

Herbs

 Today our class are writing about herbs to see what to put in our pies. These are all the herbs that we can put in our pies. Rosemary, Thyme, Garlic, Chives, Mustard seed, Oregano, parsley, chilli-flakes, mint, Sage and Basil. My favourite herb is chives because they taste like

In class we were making dioramas I chose min to be about waihiere the wild kia I used were a mushroom PikoPiko and KawaKawa I also did a report about KawaKawa. The materials I used were sticks, different coloured pant, rocks, stones and plastic fern's.It was so fun and easy to make the diorama.

On Tuesday the school went to waihirere when we got there we got in to groups of three then we talked to Sam the trap man he told us abut hunting after that we walk up to the water fall on the way we stop and talk abut the good and bad things in the bush that you can eat. when we got back we cooked fern's with butter we also made kawa kawa tea it was yummy.
